Fishers’ Loft is a rural inn with thirty-three rooms and suites, a popular choice for accommodation in Port Rexton since its doors opened in 1977. The inn began in a saltbox house, and was renovated into a four-room B&B. Over the years, the Fisher family built more accommodations on the property, retaining a distinctly Newfoundland style in the structures and interiors. The inn houses an extensive art collection, and in 2013 the Fishers were awarded Patron of the Arts by the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council. Their latest venture has been to help establish Business & Arts Newfoundland Labrador, a non-profit organization that brings together business leaders, academics and arts groups.
