Built in the late 1930s, this building was the first post office built in Port Rexton, replacing the home-based post office in a house on what is now known as Randell's Lane. After the current Canada Post structure was built across the road, the original building served as the community’s first Fire Hall until the existing Fire Hall/Municipal Building was built in 1975. The old post office building remained vacant, and was purchased by Mr. Eliol Randell of Port Rexton who donated it back to the Town of Port Rexton to be renovated and restored as it stands today.
