Bonavista Biennale is a program of 2 Rooms Contemporary Art Projects and has its genesis in a 136-year-old fisherman’s saltbox house in the community of Duntara on the east coast of Newfoundland. It gives us new ways of seeing, illuminates the complexities of society, reflects our experiences, intrigues and enchants us through artists’ skill and imagination.  Encounters celebrates that power in contemporary Canadian artists’ work at this 150th “moment” in our history.
