Visit

The Bonavista Peninsula is a remote rural destination. If you are planning to travel to visit the Biennale, please be sure to make all of your transport, accommodation and other bookings well in advance (we recommend at least 6 months ahead of your trip).

Directions and distances

Biennale sites are located along an approximately 165-km route. There are sites along the west and east sides the Peninsula.

You can visit Biennale sites in any order you like. If you don’t have time to tour the whole exhibition, use the map, artist and site pages to choose which sites to visit. Whether you get to all of them or only some you will enjoy the Biennale experience!

Take your time

There is a lot to see, and you will want time to enjoy it all. We recommend allowing two or three days to tour all of the Biennale sites, with enough time to experience other attractions and activities along the way.

You’ll find gas stations, restaurants, food trucks and grocery stores. You can also search restaurants by location here. Check restaurant information in advance as some have limited hours.

Pick up your Biennale passport and get it stamped at any of our indoor sites.

Newfoundland and Labrador’s Tourism “Welcome Desk” is an incredibly helpful resource. Visit them here for travel advice, or give them a call at 1.800.563.6353.
